We've been creating sites for the last twelve years. We think this means we know our stuff. Thankfully, our clients seem to agree.
We also like to think we’re good to work for. We believe in work-life balance and do our best to be family-friendly. If you'd like to be part of the team, let us know.
Our dynamic and expanding team consists of:
Simon is Osborne Brook’s technical director. Simon’s background is in Mathematics and Philosophy – allowing him to both think outside the box and communicate his innovative ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Simon‘s strength lies in flexible and innovative approach to technical problems. He is skilled at seeing new ways clients can make use of the internet.
Peter is Osborne Brook’s director of usability and design – he dreams in XHTML and CSS. He has a cross-discipline background, having obtained a Ph.D in Environmental Chemistry in 1995 before working as a Member of Faculty in Modern History at Oxford University (1996-9).
He has also worked as a Research Editor (OUP) and as an associate lecturer in Technology with the Open University and is still (slightly bizarrely) a consultant in sustainable design to a Japanese construction company. Peter’s strength is his ability to work with and understand the needs of stakeholders and partners from diverse backgrounds.
Robert, as far as we can tell, thinks in code (mostly Ruby wrapped in a Sinatra framework). His instinctive grasp of emerging technologies and languages helps keep us on the ‘bleeding edge’ of web design and application development.
Robert has a background in engineering science. Before coming to Osborne Brook, worked at The Planet’s data centres in Texas as a sysop.
Modi helps clients with natural search engine optimisation (SEO) by analysing their websites and identifying SEO opportunities within their markets. Before joining Osborne Brook, he worked for a software company in Amsterdam and did an MSc in Internet applications development at Brighton University.
Modi has also worked as an external lecturer for Brighton university in both, the Computer Science and ICT departments. His major interests in IT include organic SEO, web analytics services, accessibility and usability – using open source applications (Wordress, Joomla etc).
Elly is Osborne Brook’s Office Manager/Finance/HR person - otherwise known as Director of Nagging. She has a background in EFL teaching and project management (though not simultaneously) and loves nothing better than making order out of chaos. Once she’s finished organizing the creative brainboxes at Osborne Brook she goes home to the really difficult bit of trying to organize her three children
I am open-mouthed - what stars you are! Thank you very much indeed for all your sterling work through the night, it is way beyond the call of duty and certainly not expected.
