Product News:
Keep on growing your site with 'sitestep'
We've always believed that web site development is a process and not a project. A site needs to continually evolve to:
- Improve (or even maintain) search engine rankings
- Meet escalating customer expectations
- Reflect changes in your company products and focus.
In recent months we've been trying to work out how we can best help our clients to keep their web sites in 'tip-top' condition.
As a result we've come up with sitestep, a monthly subscription package that includes:
- Hosting on your own dedicated virtual server (allows unlimited domains for your company)
- 6 free days you can use development / maintenance and/or consultancy
- Bi-annual meetings to help you manage your web-development strategy.
Best of all, sitestep will save you up to £900 per year vs our standard rates.

Case study:
One site to rule them all
We're used to connecting customer's web sites to their in-house databases. But what do you do if you're still storing everything on paper or in MS Office documents?
Being the gung-ho developers we are, we set out to build a web-based application that would help our client run the business from end-to-end.
After four months of blood, sweat (and a few tears) we launched a system that has revolutionized the way the client does business.
Everything from student applications, through accommodation managment, to post-placement surveys is managed by a single web application.
The client's UK staff, overseas staff and customers can now all view (and update) data from a single mySQL database. Access controls ensure each group only see the data they need.
Building a bespoke system from the ground up is something we seldom get the chance to do. But it's nice to know that when we do, it can revolutionize a business.

New staff:
Robert Crim
Last but not least, we're pleased to have a new developer on the team here. Robert Crim has joined us from Texas.
His background is in hosting (he used to work for US ISP 'The Planet') and PHP programming. He's so good at the latter that even Simon is impressed (and Lord knows that takes a lot).
He's a great addition to the team and has proved that something better than George W Bush can come out of Texas.
